Remember the day

I still remember the day
the day when this all began
the beginning of my end
my tears fell and my blood ran

lost it all in the blink of an eye
no reason left for me to stay
i take a blade and i cut deep
close my eyes and wait to fade away

my mind cant accept it
but my heart insists
so starts my final battle
as the bleeding persists

they said you\'ll be great
the words i was told
a distant memory now
as my body grows cold

they said you\'ve just got to try
never mattered how hard i tried
i always failed but kept trying until
i realized they all lied

clutching the blade tightly
i make another deep cut
my mind begs me to scream
but my mouth remains shut

and now the time draws near
soon ill take my final breath
my heart and my mind fight
a battle to the death

as the darkness descends
my soul breaks and i cry
my heart and my mind fight
and i know both will die

the darkness holds me now
a failure I\'m forgotten and alone
finally succeeded at something
