For such a long time now
You were like my Big brother
Always picking me up when I was down

I remember the day we met
I was playing in the swings
You told me that if I wanted to fly
All I had to do was spread my wings

And when I fell from letting go
You helped me up and wiped my tears
Never knowing that from that day on
We would be friends for the rest of our years

When I was ten you asked me
To be your girlfriend
I looked at you and smiled
And thats where our love begins

I said yes and you said "alright
Now my duty to you is this
I should always hold your hand
And give you a goodnight kiss"

You said that you would get me flowers
That you would call me honey
And that every other friday
Somehow you would give me money

I asked you how in the world
Will you find money for me
You said I'll split my allowence
I'll keep two dollars and give you three

We made up plans of our so called wedding
And planned our honeymoon
You used to always say
"We will live together very soon"

But somewhere along the way
You lost your interest in me
You said that was all pretend
You had no ties to me

When you turned fifteen you found a girl
In a lot of ways she looked like me
And you got together and I swear
I couldnt control my jealousy

But the years passed by
And I watch you fall in love with many
I listened to all your stories
And believe me they were plenty

And every night I prayed to God
That you would look at me
That you would open your eyes
And notice what I could be

I could have been the one girl
The one to make your heart stop
The one that could make you feel
Like in this world you're on top

But now your 20 and on your way
To marry her instead
That is why today, your wedding day
I put this bullet to my head

But before I leave this world
I want to let you know one thing
I wanted to fly away with your love
So today I spread my wings

I'll close my eyes and think of you
And I will cry one last tear
When the time comes to let go
I am sure to feel no fear

For I know that you will be there
To pick me up from the floor
