Putting the make up on.
yellow eye shadow covers.
covers the eye lid.
mixes with white.
something happens.
everything goes on the floor.

hospital time rushes by and by.
seeing something more and more.
the scars above anyone else.
the bruises are worst.
worst then a fathers hit.

slams against the wall.
the shatter of a bone falls off.
rape? suicidal? alcoholic?
answers came flying out.
but were there all true?

screams shatter the windows.
the tests come back.
a rape kit came back positive.
suicidal signs came back positive.
alcoholic breath test came back positive.

it was all three.
couldn't do anything about it.
screams and cries.
shattered up and down the hall way.
to good they keep saying.
to good they keep on repeating.
but it was all a lie.

to get out.
to get out to drink.
to be suicidal.
to be raped by some stranger.

the hospital was a help to be free.
but in 24 hours the hospital wasn't there.
she burnt it down.
she ran away.
she got drunk again.
she got raped again.
she ended her life.
