My Garden

by k i k i   Jan 16, 2006

Dirt covering our secrets,
Burying underground.
Away from any contact,
I won't have to see the pain.

Flowers start to shoot from the garden,
Something good from a bleak past.
Completion of my life,
Everything is now golden.

Sun shining into the grey corner,
This is the right way to smile.
Growing the bad out,
Growing a new, happy soul.

Years of coping,
I thought I'd give up.
Planting the remnants of tears,
Gave fluid and nutrients for new growth.

Starting new all over,
Erasing scars from the dirt.
Concrete shows my marks,
Cuts and indentations of me.

Garden of hope.
Garden of adventure.
Garden of happiness.

It's the garden of my past.

It will eventually die.

It will fade into history.
