Let me go

I just need to do this.
Can't you understand?
There's no point holding on
To every little grain of sand.

I'm just a drop in the ocean to you.
So don't pretend you care again,
How can you say that you always have?
You have never felt my pain.

Please Mummy let me go!
I might find my own way home
But if you force me to run away,
You'll find me under a grave stone.
