I'm Scared

by Lost Without Her   Jan 16, 2006

I'm scared of tomorrow,
I hated today,
I saw a huge spider,
Come running my way.

I'm scared of the outside,
There's no reason why,
I want to happy,
I'm too scared to try.

I'm scared of flying,
Of being so high,
On hitting the ground,
You're certain to die.

I'm scared of loving,
Of giving my heart,
Of having it shattered,
When love falls apart.

I'm too scared to lose you,
To a woman who's fine,
I'm powerless to stop that,
Too scared you'll be mine.

I'm terrified you'l love me,
the way they sing it in a song,
I just don't want to hurt you,
Or do you any wrong.

I'm scared to be my mother,
and wearing a floppy hat,
Of expanding in my golden years,
And flattening the cat.

I'm scared that in my later years,
I'll be living all alone,
But even worse than that, I think,
I'll be in a nursing home.

I'm scared of all my anger,
That bubbles deep inside,
occasionally unleashing,
I'm scared you'd run and hide.

I'm scared of going blind,
Of not reading another book,
Scared you might expect me,
To be a real good cook.

I'm scared that I might hurt you,
If I sat upon your lap,
I'm scared that you might read this,
so I'm going for a nap!!
