The Flame Will Burn Forever

Have you ever felt the spark from a loved one?

Have you ever seen the sunshine
from a smile?

We were in love you and I
But you were taken from me.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
I didn't, I did, I don't
Suddenly you were there
My love

You renewed me in a dark time
You ignited my soul, and it'll burn forever
Burn forever with the love that is thee.
But you were taken from me.

Bye the time you were gone
I didn't know what had hit me
I embraced my feelings
Because I had chosen to

You were taken away
By my ego, my pride
By my selfishness
By my arrogance

One night i woke up, cold
I knew I had ruined it.
But the flame wasn't dead
But you were taken from me.

    That was a good poem with lots of emotion, the only thing wrong is that line 3 and line 4 in stanza 7 should be spelled 'by' not 'bye' the former is the one you want. peace out and good job

    As all the truly great love poems are about...either lost love or hopeless love....ur poem fits into the lost love catagory...and guess what...it's great. i mean it too. i really enjoyed readng this. thanks for making it possible. lol.
