I thought I loved you
I let that thought consume me
I let it affect my whole life
then I found someone who truly loved me
but I let him go because I thought I loved you
but he made me realize that you never loved me
then I thought that I never loved you
because how can you love someone who doesn’t even care about you
so I went back to him
and asked for his forgiveness’
he gave it to me
then he admitted that he had waiting for this day to come
the day that I would come back to him and say
