I Miss You

by Sita Perne   Jan 17, 2006

You had to go away for a while,
left me scared and alone,
now I can only hear your voice
over the damn phone.

But I can still taste you on my lips,
feel you against my hips,
smell those damn cigarettes,
on my fingertips.

I can still hear your voice in my ear,
chasing away my fear,
the tingling nerves in my neck,
because you are so near.

I can still feel your arms around me,
engulfing me in a hug,
the cold stiffness of your coat,
as we embraced on your new rug.

And I remember saying goodbye,
and thats all that I could do,
we haven't been dating long enough,
for me to say I love you.
