The little box, dear mr popa

by katie!   Jan 17, 2006

**A letter written to vasco popa author of the poem "The little box"**

Dear mr popa
I am writing with news of the little box
Although you lie in eternal rest
The little box and I
Have been far and wide

I slipped her in my pocket
Always close to my bitter soul
And she sleeps now
Though worlds perish and fall
She sleeps

And she continues to grow
Placed between shakespeares sonnets
And maya angelou
She grows inside, the universe a spectacle within

She has so much responsibility
That little box
She holds many souls upon her sides
And though she is infinite
She is so small

People discuss the little box
The whispering winds, the murmuring trees
Yet they do not realise

But rest assured mr popa
I'm looking after your little box
She resides, warm and snug
In my pocket...

That was most endearing, and so different as to add to its' charm indefinitely.

    Great work Katie~
