I Won't Let You Bring Me Down Anymore

by ...Wanna-be Poet...   Jan 17, 2006

In those rare moments when I feel fine,
You bring me down and my all healed wrist develops a crimson line.

When I finally start to feel alright,
You bring me down and I end up crying all night.

I'm sick of this, I'm sick of you,
You bring me down and I'm sick of everything you make me do.

Now to separate us I'm building a mental door,
You're no longer doing this,
I won't let you bring me down anymore.

[This one was about my Mum. I don't feel that it's my best work but I like it because that's how i feel at the moment]

This is so sad, and ironically enough I relate so well. Not with the slashing wrists part, but when you said it was for your mum. I understand what it's like for your mother to constantly bring you down. I wish I could help. Wonderfully written, though.
