I closed my door

by Cassandra   Jan 17, 2006

He came to my door that stormy night
He wore shades of red and black
He approached my door and knocked
I thought that was the end of that
He persisted to come in
until I finally opened the door
I looked at him in a funny way
And he said "Fear no more,
I am not just a stranger
But a long time friend,
I will be here to comfort you until your days come to end,
May I come in?'
he asked in a most sly way
Why not I said
He walked over to my lonely couch and began to say
"I am the king of depression, the god of happiness and sorrow,
you have opened your doors to me you shall have great tomorrows."
"What is it that you want with me?" I began to ask as he walked up to me and said
"In your life I shall bring great pleasures, disappointments and misfortunes...."
"Leave, Leave right now " I said, as my fear began to grow
"I shall respects your wishes but I just wanted you to know, at night you shall scream out my name and hear no response"
"But I don't even know your name!" I shouted as he ran down the street
he looked back at me and shouted "It begins with L and ends in E, I must be discreet"
I began to cry and fell on the floor , as though I had been shoved
I just couldn't believe it, I closed my door to love.
