The Pain

A girl with a heart so pure
Pain is what she must endure
Her heart aches for love
All from up above

Her life is slowly falling apart
It was falling right from the start
She tries to hide her pain
With a gentle smile ever so plain

Everyday more pain is adding
Her happiness is slowly fading
Her sweet, gentle smile disappears
She releases all of her tears

Slowly she falls upon her knees
No one understands
Or even sees
Covering her face with her hands

She cannot stand it
It feels like she's falling through an endless pit
She doesn't know if she'll make it
Her inner pain she doesn't admit

Her parents hear her cry at night
Every time they ask what's wrong
She tells them everything's alright
Where does she belong..
