Pleas of the desperate

by Robiie   Jan 18, 2006

"I'm not a child! I'm grown up! Everyone else can grow up, So why not let me? I'm not a child!"

Looked upon like a child,
Innocent
Cute
Vulnerable
Naive

..."I was put here to protect you"..."I'm only looking out for her"..."She wants to protect you"..."How is she?"...

They don't know her, They don't see her

"I don't need you looking out for me! I can take care of myself! Stop treating me like a child!"

They don't see she isn't as Innocent or Cute or Vulnerable or Naive as they seem to think
She is capable of being who she is without people watching her every move

"I know how to take care of myself! I can handle it! I don't need a lecture!"

She needs them to trust she can make it on her own, take care of herself, not need someone to protect her, watch over her

"I can protect myself! I can watch over myself! I don't need you to baby me!"

They need to understand she can...

"I don't need you to do this! I can handle it myself! I can take care of my own! ...

They need to understand she isn't a child...

...So let me"
