It's Just You And Me.

I stare at you, you stare back,
Neither of us will look away.
I won't give into you, ever,
I could just carry on all day.

What is your fascination with me?
What glory do you see in my eyes?
Do I offer you this magical thing?
Like money or an amazing prize?

I just don't get it, just look away,
I dislike so much of what I see.
This gross figure is just disgusting,
This terrible thing I see is me.

Reflections terrify me, in every way,
They make no sense to me, at all.
They look so pointless to me,
Just there, hanging on the wall.

I look away and look back quickly,
You're still staring at me.
What is your problem?! I scream,
Don't you hate what you see?!

I wake up the very next day,
In an very unfamiliar room.
White walls and white floors,
I am sentenced to my doom.

Not a reflection in sight,
I guess it's not that bad.
Everyone looks upset and tired,
But me, I am not one bit sad.

Forever I will stay in here,
It's just fine with me.
I finally glance over at you,
Take a guess as to what I see.

    This is very well written..cuts deep into the matter....I hope you arent as depressed as you seem on this site.You're pretty talented I've only read a couple of your poems and quotes so far,but I dont see anything wrong with any of your work..keep it up.
