Friendship of Betrayal

by Danielle   Jan 19, 2006

The tears of betrayal fell earlier today,
They fell to the ground,
Landing in a puddle.
Thinking about what I learned and what you said to me.
Friends are supposed to share secrets,
Not keeping them from each other.
You crushed my heart in pieces,
More than just putting a crack in it.
The friendship developed,
Has disappeared,
Not able to mend.
You have blamed me for so much wrong,
Never for any right.
I can’t believe you would say and do those things,
The things you knew would crush me.
Friends are supposed to care for each other,
They are supposed to watch out for each other,
Not stab one another in the back.
I constantly talked about him,
You knew I loved him,
But you blew me off not caring,
And moved right in as soon as I was gone.
You betrayed me so much,
I cannot forgive you this time.
If you try crawling back,
There will be no hope or sympathy.
You ruined it all.
Forget about all the late night talks,
Everything!
This friendship is over,
Never to be mended.

I know how that is. I had two friends that did that. I still got one and lost the other. Great poem.
