So Many Tears

Fallen have so many tears
Over the past few years
So many that my eyes have run dry
No longer is there any tears left for me to cry

For now the time has come for me to be strong
That is the only way I will be able to move on
But the soul of my body feels depleted
I try not to think that life has me defeated

Building confidence has become my first priority
For that is the secret to living life successfully
Which means I can no longer hide behind my fears
Grieving about the past I have lost so many years

So the time ahead will be filled with much change
I need to look forward not back even if it feels strange
Try to forget the past and explore a new identity
There has to be something that I can call my specialty
