Happy Birthday Momma

by Ann Stareyes   Jan 19, 2006

Today I'll visit you Mama
At your graveside once again
A very painful day without you
The tears slowly begin.

Happy Birthday Momma
You'd be sixty-nine today
Lord only knows how I miss you
There's some things I need to say.

Your memory lives in my heart
Your love remains in my soul
So many times I need you
Just for me to hold.

How I miss all your advice
That would wash away my tears
Today I realize I've been without you
For so many yrs.

I miss your warm embrace
Love that showed me the way
Lord what I would give
To still have you today.

But I know within my heart
You'd never walk out Heaven's gate
No more pain or suffering
Your life in Heaven is great.

I love you Momma
Happy Birthday once again
Another day without you
The tears will never end.

Happy Birthday Momma!
