Cool~Blue~Water

by Emi   Jan 19, 2006

In A Cool Blue Ocean.
Life Stands Still.
No Blood Falls.
Ridding Atop A Pelican's Bill.

The Wind Whispers In Your Ears.
And The Sand Holds You Close.
As The Sun Winks And Falls.
Allowing Night To Expose.

The Sky Respects Your Appearance.
And The Water Laps At Your Feet.
The Crustaceans Crawl Home.
Miles And Miles Away From Concrete.

A Frothy Wave Caresses Your Ankles.
Pulling In Crabs And Shells.
On A Journey Across Land.
Spewing Out Of A Great Swell.

Wash Crosses Your Knees.
The Seaweed Is Dragged To Shore.
Drawing The Shells Back.
Making The Sand, Tan And Bore.

The Moon Rises Into The Twilight.
Salty Spray Splashes Your Thighs.
And The Gulls Go To Sleep.
So They Fail To Reply.

The New Icy Water.
Embraces Your Ribs.
Not So Much Causing A Chill.
Making You A Salty Bib.

The Moon Eclipses With A Ring.
Usually Causing Spiritual Wreck.
But Tonight, Makes It A Guarantee.
As The Water Closes Around Your Neck.
Dragging Another Body Out To Sea.
