Broken Angel

by katie   Jan 20, 2006

She was an angel
Of a higher being
If you asked anyone
You\'d find them agreeing

She was sweet
She was kind
Always good
Toed the line

She loved hard
And fell fast
With a boy
Questionable past

Being the angel
That everyone knew
She gave him a chance
Then another two

He seemed to be fine
For a while at least
She never yelled
Always kept the peace

They went ok
For a few weeks and then
Met up with dear Amy
Said she was \"a friend\"

Being sweet as she was
She fell for his lies
But sent out her friends
To act as her spies

She got word one day
When he was late home
He wasnt coming back
He\'d left. He was gone

Well this set her off
She cried in her room
Then she heard a knock
At the door around noon

She went to the door
To tell them to leave
It was her boy
Begging her please

Said he needed his things
As he was leaving with \"her\"
But couldnt leave home
With things as they were

She agreed quietly
And let him come in
And this is where the
Trouble would begin

He yelled at her then
Saying god awful things
About how she was useless
And Amy gave him wings

He wanted no more
To do with this sap
And threw down a photo
Of them with a crack

He grabbed his few clothes
He had still there
She tried to stop him
He pulled at her hair

He said \"this is what
You get with me here\"
Then stormed out the door
Leaving the poor girl in tears

Always being kind
Shed never had this
she grabbed glass from the photo
And sliced at her wrist

Her best friend forever
Came by later on
Hearing no answer
Assumed she had gone

But our poor angel now
lay broken here on the floor
THis is what happens
When you love someone more

More than you think
You could love anyone else
More love than even
You possess for yourself

Our poor angel here
Could have gone to great things
But instead ended her life
And finally grew wings
