I'm sorry

I'm sorry for all the pain i cause,
all the worry and the strife,
I'm sorry I let in the darkness,
I'm sorry I turned to the knife,

I'm sorry I am not brilliant,
I am sorry for being me,
but you are not perfect too,
why can you not see?

all you see is a failure,
a hopeless waste of space,
I am ashamed that I am this,
can no longer look you in the face,

I'm sorry for all I caused,
but no need to worry anymore,
for although you block many exists,
I have discovered a forbidden door,

I am sorry but i must leave now,
this guilt i cannot take,
I try to act like I'm OK,
but it's getting hard to fake,

So now I will take this exit,
forgive me for being weak,
but now with me out of the way,
your future is not as bleak.

    Simple rhymes, but very powerfull and full of emotion. again using the metaphor of the "forbidden door"

    I love this poem. it shows that, some people may see others as a burden in their life, yet really, they arent that way but they dont realize this untill they are gone. i have enjoyed all your poems, though they are all sad and dark, i still enjoyed them equally

    I feel the same way sometimes. i loved this poem it was great! I felt the emotion that you put in there, "I try to act like I'm ok, but it's getting hard to fake..." that's exactly how I feel! keep up the good work
