Don't Wait

by Kelly Katherine   Jan 20, 2006

Suppose you only had a moment,
A fleeting second to speak,
What would you say?
And to whom?
What words would you utter?
And for whose ears?

Life is streaking past.
Release the words from your lips.
Moments are not guaranteed,
Seconds are fleeting.

Speak now.

I really like this. You've said so much so concisely and with few words, yet you capture the essence of desperation and even demanding because time does pass so fast, life is to short to not say what needs to be said, to not talk to that someone special, to not mend a family grudge, make up with a friend--this piece can be interpretated so many different ways. You've worded and constucted it superbly. There is great wisdom woven amongst your words. This piece really makes one think. And all we really have is this moment.Seize the day!Great poem.
