Modern Spirituality

Religion, as one will believe
is their way to true purity
becoming one essential need
trusting in something they cannot see
yet now, religions commit these crimes
used by some as an mere excuse
beliefs has changed through ages of time
when light and dark is now abused

Shadowed and hidden by what is real
confused and dazed by what is right
not knowing what reasons in need to deal
with this internal, spiritual fight

Many people has yet to know
The original truths in which was written
Their purpose in life has yet to show
the path in which fate has bidden
shall we, one day, proceed with majesty
and to live our lives content
or to wait for what's meant to be
and for changes to happen again
