Love through the Ages.

You had me at hello,
You lost me at goodbye,
You kept me hanging on,
no matter how hard I tried,

to let you go,
to forget my past,
to leave you alone,
but my love still last,

As I sit here writing this,
my heart torn in two,
and all that's running across my mind,
are thoughts of me and you,

all the times we spent together,
as happy as can be,
they all keep playing in my head,
like a sad ending movie,

just like Romeo and Juliet,
everything worked out in the end,
but as of now things didn't work out,
because we are only friends,

Maybe we could be like Noah and Allie,
and have a love that lasts forever,
but at least in the end,
we would be together,

I want one of those loves,
that will last through the ages,
but so far,
mine only lasted a few short pages!
