Lost

by Liss   Jan 7, 2004

Feelings change like hours in a day,
A misplaced child slowly tearing away.
The beauty is lost from her heart,
sweetness now dissolved.
A thousand worries drain from her eyes.
Too ashamed and frightened to think of the mistakes she's made.
What is there left to do?
Scared to think of the past,
Scared to think of the future.
Chances will come that she'll never take.
Her life will lead nowhere,
she lies in a pool of despair.
This nightmare wont end.
Tragically she's lost forever,
unaware of happiness,
frowned to the world.
She's transparent to the ones she once loved,
a mirror image of a person she never wanted to be.
She sits in her room alone and forgotten.
Waiting for someone to notice and put and end to her pain.
Time goes by, the sun goes down and once again her quiet cries are all that will put her to sleep tonight.
