A winter's day
In a nippy and nebulous November;
I am alone,
Descending from the greyish sky
Down to the ground below me
Just to cover a piece of frozen earth.
I am a snowflake,
I am me...
I fall down,
And on my trip,
I see birds flying freely.
I have no need of freedom; freedom causes pain.
They can go anywhere,
Yet I can only go down.
I am a snowflake,
I am me...
Don't talk about the other ones,
I've seen them all before;
It's sleeping in my memory.
They always want more.
They have killed me inside.
Maybe I wouldn't be like this,
If I had never even tried.
I am a snowflake,
I am me...
And a snowflake always descends...
And now I'm only forced to pretend...
