A guy meets a girl,
They fall in love,
No hearts are broken.
They live happily ever after,
Then the perfect story ends.
I see this all the time on TV,
And I wish it was true.
I wish a girl and a guy could love each other,
And everything would be perfect.
That is considered to be the reality,
But to me, it's just fake.
Love never has that perfect ending,
Like in a story.
There are always problems,
And too many doubts.
Someone always gets hurt,
Though it is usually unintentional.
Then, the couple has to get through the hard time.
Oh, how I wish reality was TV,
But it never has and never will be.
Sure, girls and guys still do fall in love,
But not once have I heard a story,
Of a couple who ended up the same way as the TV couple did.
If only the TV had more of the real reality,
And less of this fake reality.
I know nothing's perfect,
And that it never will be.
A girl and a guy,
They fall in love,
Hard times come their way,
But they still make it through.
And they made it through because,
They were together throughout all of it.
That is really how it goes.
Too bad that's not what's on TV.
