TO FEW AND FAR BETWEEN

TO FEW AND FAR BETWEEN

To many live with one foot in the future
And one foot in the past,
As they urinate all over the present
Then wonder why their happiness can't last.

Thank God for those who make life worthwhile,
Because they're to few and far between.
Less than then percent of all we meet
Wish to be helpful, honest and never mean.

Every generation has its saviors,
Who come along and save the day.
Every generation has its Satans,
Who thrive on guiding the weak astray.

The reason I chose to compose this poem,
Is that I have been known to be both.
Now that I'm saved, I have changed my ways,
And to goodness have given my oath.
