The Little Girl...

by Miss Megan   Jan 22, 2006

A young girl who's problem free,
got smacked in the face with reality.
She was 8 years old,
when the tragic day came.
Her daddy left,
leaving the family in shame.
The girl's older sister,
didn't take this too good.
She did everything wrong,
and was misunderstood.
Tears down her cheeks every night,
praying for God to take her life.
Blood on her wrists,
a rope around her neck.
Why did her daddy do this,
what will happen next?
Her mother was helpless,
and sadly confused.
Crying all day,
not knowing what to do.
Wondering where,
it ever went wrong.
They were so happy and loving,
for so very long.
The girl had a younger sister too,
she didn't know what was happening.
What did her daddy do?
Why isn't any one laughing?
She was much too little,
to understand was was going on.
But deep down inside,
she wanted something to be done.
It's been five long years,
since the girl's daddy left.
And what he looks like,
she'll never forget.
She doesn't really miss him,
after all he put her through.
She'll never see him the same way,
after all he was never true.
She has moved on,
and had a happy life.
Her sisters are well,
her mom once again a loving wife.
And as far as she can tell,
forever they'll be happy.....
I bet you'd never guess,
who the little girl could be.
But since the very beginning,
the little girl was me.....
