Night So Beautiful

by JL   Jan 22, 2006

Lit up in purple, pink, and blue
The sun dances among the stars
Casting light upon us all;
Reminding us who we are

Natures beauty reflected
On skyscrapers so bright
'Til evening sets in
And they turn on their lights

Snowflakes fall downward
Caressing Mother Earth
Lovers kiss softly
Poets dream for what its worth

Trees stand erect
Stripped to the bone
Flowers sleeping at the moment,
Soon their beauty will be shown

Animals settle down
Awaiting the first sign of light
I stand with you
Taking in this beautiful night
