I Live My Life

by Rachel   Jan 22, 2006

This isn't really a poem, I just jotted down some words and this is what came out, you can comment on it if you'd like, I'd like it, but you don't have to. I know that the rating won't be high because it's not a poem, but I would like to know what you think of it.

Living life as if I had no problem, I walked up and down the sidewalk looking at the flowers thinking of how beautiful they are, where'd they come from, who makes them, how they come out in colors instead of all green, and so on and so on, asking myself these questions.

Living life as if I had no problem, I went to the playground, covered up my bruises, thinking to myself why I get hit across the face, why I get yelled at, why do I have to have the family I have now, so on and so on.

Living life as if I had no problem, I went to church, covered up the sin that I had committed, thinking to myself why I even go, why I tried to be someone I know I'm not, tried to please every individual soul, so on and so on.

I live my life today, faced with each problem I know I have, I go to school, face the same problems, and think to myself when will it be over, when will this life end, when can I say my final good-bye, so on and so on.

I live my life with each problem a heavy burden on my shoulder, and think to myself will I ever be able to rid myself of this, is there someone who'll take it from me, why me, so on and so on.
