Foolish Pride

by Bill Turner   Jan 22, 2006

Cold steel, sharp and ready
Held hidden at your side
Moving close, feeling steady
Doing this for pride

Noticing your sudden pace
I make my move towards you
Shoulder striking the face
Seeing what you are about to do

The glint of your knife
Slipping through my skin
Wanting to end my life
Thinking you will win

Elbow to the throat
Wrist bound in a lock
Knee to the scrote
Free hand to block

Driving you to the floor
Weapon flying away
Your decision poor
Pain for you today

Snapping your bone in half
Burying my blade in your side
Looking into your eyes for a laugh
Another death by foolish pride

Wow. This poem was cool, and it has an awesome neding. Ha, it was scary, a little, but...awesome ending. The imagery was great, I could see it all happening as I read it, and the flow was awesome. Great job.
