Rejection

It's difficult sometimes
To verbalize a feeling,
Or to express a belief,
Especially one so vague and confusing
As the one that plagues me now.

Is it desperation calling you
To do what you've done?
To say what you've said?
A friendship probably lost forever
Before it ever really began
Because you were lonely? Horny?

Or do you really like me for me?

I don't believe it. I can't believe it.
I've never before been on an unfeeling end
Of emotion so strong.
I don't know what to say,
It's impossible to explain,
My mind wants a million things and yet nothing.

I don't know what I want,
But I know how I feel.
And it pains me to say so,
But my heart goes out to many people,
And you're not one of them.
