Friend.

by ntv650   Jan 22, 2006

You've been a friend of the strange kind,
Over half my life my closest stranger.
But when I do remember those few times
Of teaching me how to write and laugh
And conversations that made life sublime,-
I can hold nothing in higher respect or 'gard.
Than the friendship we share. You and I.

And yet you who is my favourite stranger,
Now appears closer than most of friends.
So let me celebrate today and say thankyou
For finding you to be who you are everyday,-
And more, much more, remember my promise!
To be your shoulder, eye or ear whenever I may,
And define our friendship by what you and I share.
