A boy said to a girl 'I love you,'
The girl asked 'how do I know it's true?'
The boy replied 'do you trust me?'
The girl said 'Help me to.'

The boy then said to her.
'I'll love you till the day I die.'
The girl said 'that means nothing,
If 'I love you' was a lie.'

The boy asked 'How can I prove my love?'
she said 'don't break my heart when things get tough.'
he said 'but I love you,
isn't that enough?'

The girl told him 'Love means nothing
-it's a 4 letter word,
It's what you do not what you say
That really shows its worth!'

The boy acted astonished and genuinely shocked,
'But I love you more than anything; you're all I've got.'
The girl answered matter-of-factly, 'exactly, all you've got,
It's not love for me you have its dependency, is it not?'

The girl then understood when she declared,' Your Love is just a lie;
You say those words to use me and then think I'll just comply,
That may have worked on other girls, ones who believed in you,
But to me your words are meaningless, so you and I are through.'
