A name

I'm gonna write a poem for you
I'll write it with a twist
I'll write it with a razor-blade
I'll write it on my wrist

As I write this poem
a river will appear
as I write this poem
my problems disappear

This poem consists of just one word
one word is all I need
but rather, not a word, a name
a name that made me bleed

A name of someone beautiful
and smart, and funny too
a name I think of day and night
along with 'I love you'

I've said these words a thousand times
but you don't even care
you tear my heart and throw it out
a pain I cannot bear

So that is why I write this poem
this poem with a twist
your name will glow with bright red blood
it's 'Maddie' on my wrist

    Ok, so even though you did use a quote thats been around for a while, i like how you tunred it into a poem. Deep, passionate words. I knwo the pain and it seem sliek when you can relate to a poet....things make more sense. so, nice job on this one, too
