She didn't have time

by Heidi   Jan 23, 2006

She didn't have time

He walked out of her life,
Never stopped to look behind.
They had a child together,
But he didn't mind.

She sat alone in her room,
Sat there to wonder.
She thought about him,
She wondered if he thought about her.

She could have cried,
But she didn't have time.
No, she didn't have time.

She straightened out her life,
She settled down once again.
She had a 3 year old to feed,
Maybe she was just a friend.

She still thought about him,
Wondered what they would've been.
She didn't know how things would go,
She wondered about the things she'd seen.

She could have laid awake for hours,
But she didn't have time.
No, she didn't have time.

She sat there with a new guy,
She just met him that night.
They started to talk about everything,
Until the sunrise came a'light.

He sat there with her for hours,
And she could have cried.
He asked,
"Does your daughter have your eyes?"

She could have been afraid to fall in love that night,
But she didn't have time.
No, She didn't have time.
