Smile On My Face

by xoxShorteexox   Jan 23, 2006

I lay there with a smile on my face,
first time I have when to bed with a smile in a month.
I lay in my bed wide awake,
thinking of memories of us.
To think we can't be together still hurts,
but the law is law.

Our ages is what makes this hard.
Yet, would you ever give me another chance?
Baby, I know I have done wrong,
but why lie and say you die?
Baby, I can't change the past.
I lay there with a smile on my face.
Because I know if it was meant to be then it would be.

Yet, it's still hurts to be without you.
I lay there with a smile on face,
yet I am so happy for a change.
I cried tears of happiness to feel joy.
If only I could be like that everyday.
I fall asleep with a smile on my face,
and wake up knowing today is going to be a great day.
