Remember that girl

by Nil   Jan 23, 2006

Remember that girl?
the one that never spoke
she was always so quiet
some think her voice was broke

She would sit in the back
With a hoodie to hide in
she'd never answered the teachers
many different questions

She would never smile
Not one laugh ever escaped
some thought she wasn't human
she had never had a date

In gym she wouldn't dress down
She'd just stand in jeans and a hoodie
She would always participate
But without dressing down
she would never get credit

she was never at lunch
she would be reading alone
and no one ever knew why
she was antisocially prone

They never knew why
She didn't speak
they didn't bother to think
why they never saw her arms and legs

They didn't wonder
why she read to escape
They never knew their silence
Was screaming in her ears

They didn't think
She wasn't content with life
That's because they never took the time
To look into her eyes

Yet again I am awed. I really hope your not getting sick of my comments lol I do try to make them interesting cuz I know sometimes you get sick of the same old comment" Great poem, keep it up" I know I do. But anyways I hate how people do that like they never try to get to know the quiet people, they never try to find otu why they are so quiet. grrrrrrrr. Well I really do like your style of writing and like the messages and emotion behind the poem. Your truly do have alot of talent and I can't wait to read more. 5/5

    lots of love
