Beneath Your Frown

by TeArStAiNeDfAcE*   Jan 23, 2006

I see the wheels in your head turnin
And the bridges you keep right on burnin
Your running from the truth and pain
Trying to keep out the inevitable rain

No one stands by you side
Or wipes the away the tears you've cried
Deep down lays a silent girl
Who is caught in this awful whirl

She can't come out
For you have locked her up with your doubt
Throwing away the key
You say they will never know me

They will never see the real you
Because you died a long time ago and they never knew
She lays upon the floor of death
Taking one last breath

Deep down inside is where she will stay
Until finally you give her a new day
But the masks stay up and don't go down
So she will stay hidden beneath your frown
