Indefinite Pursuit

by Amanda Sloan   Jan 23, 2006

I plant such meaning in one utterance
Put it in a place of wonder and indefinite sense
I tried to grasp its enormity but it is just to colossal to take in
My frustration angrily beats me trying to shape it into some form or something that resembles a mold like it
Why do I undertake such an unachievable feat
However my intellect is heightened surveying a craving such as this
My wick gets smaller and smaller every day trying to understand where this ecstasy is leading
A scratch on the glass
Another rip in the curtain
Or maybe a lid on the jar
Why do I try to take it on it's to wild to be caged...
