Lost in a world of sameness,
Fake is the latest trend.
My heart is tired of breaking,
How I feel no one will ever comprehend.

Tears on my pillow,
Every long lonely night.
My head and heart agree,
Something is not right.

Darkness is taking over,
Taking over my soul.
My life it keeps on fading,
Into a barren black hole.

My heart will never mend,
For it no longer has a beat.
I feel pathetic to say,
Love has its defeat.

Love can never follow through,
No one is able to trust.
For cheating is so frequent,
Suspicion is a must.

I knew you still had feelings for her,
But I had faith in which to believe.
But then I had to catch you with her,
From then on out I no longer felt complete.

Fate had brought us together,
And it has surely brought us apart.
I do not even feel sorry for myself,
I guess I deserve a broken heart...
