Red Roses of Velvet

by Sean Brady   Jan 24, 2006

As the scars upon my wrist are torn
The devil inside me is born
From all the anger
From all the frustration
From all the disappointment
Comes a child born in distortion

Red roses of velvet are true
As word by word my heart breaks in two

What I say to you may as well be subliminal
Kissing you is a dream come true
Missing you changes my blood into black from blue

Red roses of velvet are true
As word by word my heart breaks in two

Wanting to kiss you while standing in the rain
Gazing into your eyes makes my hopes strain
If I had to hold my breath for you
Dieing would be a pleasure to do.
