When I Try To Deny

I denied it at first,
Then I realized how I felt.
I thought I just loved being your friend,
But another card has been delt.

I love to see you every day,
And to know that you love to see me too.
I know that I want you in a different way,
But do you see that I want you?

I know that I'm unreadable.
If I don't want you to know, then you won't.
I don't want to lose a great friend.
I like you, so I won't.

I don't want to feel this way,
Because your friendship means so much.
Could you understand,
Why I love the friendly touch?

To want something you can't have.
To not completely understand.
To know the answer, but not the true reason why.
To know I care, but I continue to cry.

Why can't I get over it?
I'm stuck on something that won't come true.
Honestly I continue wanting,
But there's nothing I can do.
