Silent goodbyes

by Olliver Kahle   Jan 24, 2006

Death will be upon me soon,
It has been delayed for too long,
I have been cursed underneath this crimson moon,
My last rites recorded in this, my last song,

I must face the cold rain alone,
I can only sit here under this lonely star,
Out here your words chill to the bone,
Cursing your silent screams, our private war,

So listen to these painful words, my dear,
I do not think I can ever forget these memories,
So listen carefully for soon I won’t be here,
For I will try to explain to you my dark reveries,

I am sorry for how things between us went,
I wish I would have treated you better,
In life you were only trying to understand,
I know you deserve more than this letter,

Now I must leave you behind in this rain,
Harder then usual it pours from the sky
I hope it will quickly wash away your pain,
So my dear remember me as I was, this is my last goodbye.
