A Time

There used to be a time when the style of your clothes didn't matter and who your friends were, but it is not that time anymore.

Now insecurities come about, eating away at you. Unlike you, who skips a meal because of the insecurities.

Friends fade and often disconnect through this new time. You sit in the lunchroom, surrounded by many, but you're lonely. The world feels so far.

In your thoughts you think of a time were style didn't matter and friends didn't stab you in the back. Well the time has passed.

Will a new time began, and take over this time of loneliness? For now you just think of that time before, but maybe you should think of the time ahead.
