I really really liked dis 1, i especially loved da stanza 'time waits for no man', I loved da fact dat it wosnt lyk a soppy or idealistic view of cancer, or having a termnal illness. It wos a survivors story and dealt with being strong rather than giving up hope. I don't know if da bit bout ur friend wos tru but I no cancers a scary disease n I've watched my dad and grandad die 4rm it n dey both died fighting and didn't let it beat dem and ur poem definitely reflects that experience and what it must really be like to have an expiry date!!!! (sry bt da msg wos a bit deep so had 2 lighten things up a bit!) |
Extremly powerful. well written. usually i don't really like poems that don't rhyme, but your poems are creative and well thought out. your writing shows intelligence, depth and passion. you've got a true aptitude for poetry Chuck. keep it up, and i shall look forward to reading you next piece. |
