Prophetic Resolution

by Momentary Relapse   Jan 24, 2006

'Three brothers come, one brother leaves
A lord of all, the gift he grieves
Bitter curse, crowns his brow
Blood shall rain, all shall bow'
as foretold by --Arthas~Prophet of those Fallen of the Faith

A father of three with sorrowfelt heart
Watches his children be forced apart
With regret nestled close inside his chest
He begs the gods to let the prophecy rest

His pleas are ignored his cries unheard
As the gods conspire to bring about each word
After centuries of waiting they have brough forth
The one who all others will know his worth

Bloodlust and hate has consumed the land
Each brother takes up arms each makes his stand
With hatred inside and disgust in the eyes
The brothers are eager to slay all they despise

The shrieks of battle has raised its pitch
As slowly the sun sinks into a dark ditch
The hoarse screams of the dying plagues the night
While the ongoing slaughter continues til light

The brothers meet in fierce clash
Swords leaping at exposed flesh they lash
Where once love had lived burns only hate
Reunited they are to determine their fate

By end of the day only one can leave
Sweat soaked form aches from wound received
Great praise is ladened once honors are placed
A lord he becomes victory bitterly laced

Blood the rivers ran from those slain
Falling from the sky the likeness of rain
A prophecy foretold has been fulfilled
Upon the day when many were killed

It's nice to see another young adult that uses such sharp allusions, imagery, and other literary devices with such beauty..

    Nice job. 5/5
