Reality with a similar outcome for us all

by A Metaphorical Beauty   Jan 24, 2006

Anger.
An Armour to shield the loneliness.
A veil.
To cover my watery eyes.
Sticky tape.
To fix together my broken heart.

Tonight.
I can't wait to see you.
Butterflies,
Swarm around my empty stomach.
A girl.
Just a little girl inside.

Confused.
Confused trying to decide what rocky road to take next.
So still.
So still I sit in a corner. Alone.
Shivering.
Shivering with fear like I'd be sent their for doing wrong.

So strong.
I always pick myself up.
So weak.
As weak and confused as I was at birth.
Unaware.
So unaware of what my life would bring.

To hurt,
If only I would of known.
A skipped beat.
I would have never formed a heart.
The tears.
If I was to know they existed I would have let my eyes run dry.

The future.
To all it is inevitable.
To love.
An individual choice of trust and chance.
But sadness.
Sadness is in every emotion of every human being.

Similar not the same.
They say we're all different and unique.
The good and the bad.
Does that not include everyone?
Right and wrong.
Right and wrong and has never been plain sailing.

This poem.
This poem will be judged.
To look inside.
How many of you will?
Because in all of you.
In every single one of you your hearts will read differently.

Your mind.
An inspiration or an intoxicated illusion?
To start upside down.
Does it not make u sick to question?
Then it is your heart.
It must be your heart to make you your words, to make you your actions.

To make you... you.

Hey! I'm not sure why you haven't been commented on this yet, but you definately deserve something. I really enjoyed that! I've never seen it done that way before, I don't know if that means you're incredibly creative and thought itup yourself, or I just need to get out and read some more damn poetry lol; but either way, it was really refreshing to read something with new structure and idea to it. I'm sorry I can't offer any constructive criticism, but I like it as is and actually kind of hope that you don't change a thing about it. It's an excellent write!
