From Immortal Eyes

by Kim   Jan 24, 2006

The softest of the dancing lights
Float across the barren field
The sweeping emptiness glazed
In a sugar coated shield

Sparkling in the luminescent ray
Hidden from simple mortal view
Seperate morsels of fragmented hopes
Weave a melody of truth

Frozen tears fallen long ago
When the deities themselves had wept
Reflecting undimished pain
In promises better kept

Fleeting glimpses of ancient sorrows
Drift across the windswept plain
Destined to circle ever onward
Touching mortals again 'n again

Yay! I decided to go back a ways to comment on some of your older writings...let me just say, you didn't have a long way to go to be come one of the best poets on this site. I always love the way you take so many beautiful words and stream them together to make a masterpiece.
    Bravo, I say.

There is a classic feel to your poem, I enjoy this style very much. I have never been to New Foundland, but I imagine it has northern beauty akin to iceland, perhaps a little milder.
